Sabancı University 2024 Promotion Days Begin

Sabancı University, which has achieved numerous successes in Turkey and around the world, will organize "Promotion Days" for the Higher Education Examination (2024-YKS) preference period between July 16 and August 2, 2024. Promotion days, which aim to inform candidates and their families who will make their university choice in the next academic year and to provide detailed information about our university, will be held physically at the University's Tuzla Campus this year, as every year.

In This Library, Books Read Books!

"Human Library: The Books That Read" event, organized to create an environment of dialogue between the books that have previously participated in the Human Library event organized by Civic Involvement Projects, took place on July 3, 2024 at Sabancı University Altunizade Digital Campus. Gay mother, gay father, albino, search and rescue, cerebral palsy, tiny human and oncology mother participated in the event.

Sabancı University Initiative Euronova Receives Large Investment From the Leaders of the Automotive World

Euronova Advanced Generation Sustainable Plastic Materials Company, founded by Burcu Saner Okan, faculty member of the Materials Science and Nanoengineering program, in partnership with Sabancı University Inovent, broke new ground by receiving a major investment in its field.

Sabancı University Graduated Its 22nd-Year Undergraduate and 25th-Year Graduate Students

Sabancı University 22nd-year undergraduate and 25th-year graduate students commencement ceremonies were held on the Tuzla campus. Güler Sabancı, Founding Chair of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı University, said, “In the new century of our Republic, the duty of all of us, especially you, the young people, is to continue to progress in the light of science, with the ideal of a better future. No matter how difficult the conditions you face, no matter how difficult times you go through, you should always be on the side of human rights, the rule of law, equality, and peace."

June 2024 ELAE Results

June 25th ELAE result code explanations are as follows:

SL (Satisfactory in the ELAE): indicates students who have received the required grade or above in the June 25th ELAE. 

UL (Unsatisfactory in the ELAE): indicates students who have not been able to obtain the required grade in the ELAE.

NA (Non-attendance): indicates students who did not attend the exam and is equivalent to a “UL” grade.

Students who hold their right to study at FDY Summer School as a result of their end of course results and/or ELAE results will automatically be registered to the Summer School.

Those students who hold their right to study at School of Languages Face to Face Summer School but do not wish to study at the Foundation Development Year Programme have to complete “Application Form to Study Outside FDY” and submit it through SuForm and send an email to schooloflanguges@sabanciuniv.edu by 17:00 on 1th July, 2024

Postgraduate candidates who have taken the June 25th ELAE will be informed of their results by their institues.

EFSUN SABANCI Frontiers in Material Surfaces and Interfaces Workshop Was Held

The EFSUN SABANCI Frontiers in Material Surfaces and Interfaces Workshop was held at the Biotechnology Institute-Gebze Technical University on June 12, 2024. The workshop brought many students, experts, engineers and researchers from various disciplines together thanks to its rich content.

Kemal Derviş Was Commemorated on the First Anniversary of His Passing With A Ceremony

The late Dr. Kemal Derviş, former Member of the International Board of Overseers of Sabancı University, who served as the Minister of State for the Economy in the 57th Government of the Republic of Turkey and who contributed greatly to the university with his valuable ideas and works, starting from the Search Conference in 1995, where the foundations of Sabancı University were laid, was commemorated on the first anniversary of his passing with an event organized by Sabancı University and Istanbul Policy Center.

Grant Support from the European Commission for the Project of our FASS Faculty Member Fatih Serkant Adıgüzel

The project entitled "VALPOP- Valuing Public Goods in a Populist World: A Comparative Analysis of Network Dynamics and Societal Outcomes", in which Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Faculty Member Fatih Serkant Adıgüzel participates as a researcher, has been deemed entitled to support from the European Commission within the scope of the Horizon Europe Program.

The first workshop of Türkiye's first Hydrogen Valley Project, "HYSouthMarmara - South Marmara Hydrogen Shore" Project, was held at Sabancı University

Besides the project partners of HYSouthMarmara, key stakeholders in the hydrogen ecosystem, company representatives, and academics participated in the first workshop of the HYSouthMarmara Hydrogen Valley Project, held at Sabancı University Performing Arts Center.  Coordinated by the South Marmara Development Agency (GMKA) and conducted by a consortium of 15 partners, the "HYSouthMarmara - South Marmara Hydrogen Shore" Project is an important step for the green transformation of Turkish industry and revitalizing the hydrogen ecosystem.
