Nanotechnology for Energy and Advanced Medicine

Professor Sam Stupp will discuss recent scientific advances that will impact the development of new technologies for advanced medicine and energy.  These advances are rooted in research on nanotechnology, chemistry and materials science, all areas of great strength at Northwestern. One example he will present about advanced medicine research is the design of new therapies to regenerate tissues and organs such as bone, the brain, heart muscle, cartilage, and others. In the area of energy, Professor Stupp will discuss efforts to create new materials that can generate fuels or convert carbon dioxide into useful chemicals when exposed to the sun.

About Samuel Stupp
